Worcester MP Robin Walker is looking for a new Caseworker to join his constituency team. Caseworkers manage correspondence and liaise with the many organisations a Member of Parliament works with. The main job of a Caseworker is to solve problems that constituents raise, making it a varied role.
Caseworkers in a constituency office are responsible for providing advice and support on issues in the local community such as immigration, housing and benefits, as well as liaising with government agencies and local media outlets. They assist the MP at local and national events and help to solve problems in the local community.
Robin said:
"Every MP has a small but hard working team to help constituents day in, day out. In the last month alone Worcester residents contacted me 581 times requesting my help. Dealing with correspondence and ensuring successful outcomes to the issues raised are key parts of the Caseworker role, so good communication skills and a motivation to get things done are vital. Above all, anyone in my team must share my passion for our city and have the needs and priorities of the people of Worcester at their heart."
