Worcester MP Robin Walker had the opportunity to meet and congratulate Jessey, Dougie and Lacy from RGS Springfield who were selected as some of the top 50 entries in an art and written word competition run by Parent Zone in partnership with Google - and have had their work showcased in the Houses of Parliament.
Parent Zone sits at the heart of modern family life, providing advice, knowledge, and support to shape the best possible future as they embrace the online world. We support parents to help their children discover the possibilities and opportunities available to them online and provide teachers and family professionals with resources and training to help them guide and advise families in the digital world.
The ‘Find Your Balance: art + written word competition’ asked children aged 5-15 to submit a piece of art or writing showing what they would like to see from the internet of the future.
Speaking from Westminster, Robin said:
“A big well done to RGS Springfield, where three pupils were local winners as part of The Parents Zone #FindYourBalance: art and written word competition in partnership with Google UK.”
“It’s fantastic to see the creativity of young people in Worcester being celebrated in this way - and for children’s voices around the future of the internet to be recognised. It was great to see Dougie, Lacey and Jessey’s work showcased in Westminster.”
